4/20 Frustrations and Regulations

Happy 4/20 everyone!

Green Rush entrepreneurs already know how challenging operating in the legal marijuana space can be. Since legal weed is still relatively new, regulations can vary greatly from state to state. Not just for the product itself, but also for transportation, operations, and packaging. But for as frustrating as this can be, sometimes designing and creating within strict limitations can actually lead to some seriously creative solutions.

Take Wyld for example. Like so many weed companies, sustainability is something they take very seriously. And despite the fact that they have to play by different packaging rules from state to state and country to country, they’ve figured out a way to make compliant, child-proof packaging that’s also 100% compostable.

One of the coolest things about the legal weed industry being so young is that it’s not beholden to the old ways of doing things. It’s a brand new frontier which means companies can prioritize sustainable packaging and design easier than companies in other, more established industries. We're excited to see what other innovations they come up with that can be adapted by CPG brands in less regulated spaces.
