EightySeven adds Laura Santi as Brand Director.

EightySeven, the award-winning branding studio, has announced a new addition to its creative team, bringing on Laura Santi as Brand Director. Santi will be designing brands full-time along with Brand Director Rick Hickey, and Brand Director and Founder Maxwell Billings.

“Our growth at EightySeven has always been driven by our passion for this business. It’s exciting to find new perspectives to solve problems. I couldn’t think of anyone better to push our studio forward.” Said Billings. “Her expertise, empathy and entrepreneurial spirit is exactly what our team and clients need to succeed.”

Santi will be leading the EightySeven studio out of Detroit and will play an integral role developing brand stories for modern businesses. Over the past several years, Santi has developed her name as a go-to designer in the hospitality and restaurant space.

Her passion for design and branding is palpable. “Someone once asked if I can separate design from other aspects of my life…and the answer is no — but I’m happy about that,” said Santi. “For me it all bleeds together. I can’t pull it apart. I love seeing how interior design inspires the structure of a logo, how fashion trends and color-ways spill over into points and pixels and how the concept of harmony exists in all mediums.”

Santi’s experience includes design positions at Geometry Global, Havas, and most recently Zoyes Creative, working on brands such as Coca-Cola, Ruth Ellis Center, Ghafari, and recent Detroit development, Exchange.

“I’ve always seen myself as more than a designer,” said Santi “Working with EightySeven gives me the ability to be a creative entrepreneur.”

In addition to her role as a Brand Director at EightySeven, she also runs her own paper craft studio for nuptials and wedding invitations. As a modern studio, EightySeven encourages creative entrepreneurs to pursue passions, solve problems, and design with heart.
